Important Notice About Pennies
Beginning April 1, 2026, we will no longer be able to offer or accept pennies at any MMCU location.
What this means for you:
- Pennies will no longer be dispensed with cash transactions.
- For check cashing, any amount that involves pennies will be deposited into the member's account.
- For withdrawals, we will not distribute coin currency below a nickel.
- We will not be able to accept pennies for deposits or payments after March 31, 2026.
- If a member brings in coin to be counted, we will return any pennies to them in their original container.
Electronic transactions, debit card purchases, deposited checks, and digital payments will not be affected.
We encourage you to deposit or exchange any pennies you'd like to use prior to April 1, 2026.
